CPYSL U11 Premier Division - Match Day # 3
Our team headed into this match with the grueling memories of a 6-0 loss they endured against the same adversary in last season's match on their home turf; but they were determined to also bounce back from last week's first loss of this season. However, their slow pace in the first half clearly was no match for the game that their opponents brought to the pitch right off the opening whistle; so FC York was quickly set back again 3-0 for a 2nd week in a row, and this score held up by halftime. But in the second half our team changed tactics & the boys played a much more determined game that even got the attention of the other team's coach, and only one more goal was given up by the final whistle. However, their efforts were also unfortunately marred by puzzling officiating calls which did not help their efforts, as our boys collected another mark in the loss column. The team will next have a bye weekend that will hopefully give them time to further work on fixing the problems we have encountered in the past two matches.
