Brunswick High School Track & Field Athletes Win State Championship Titles in the Maryland State Indoor Meet.
David Tarcza, a senior, won the high jump with a jump of 6' 2", second highest in the state this year for all school sizes. Brian Sloper, a senior, won the pole vault event at 11" 6", a new personal best for him. Both were selected for the Frederick County All County 1st Team by the Frederick Newspost. Freshmen, Katherine Buscemi, Natalie Buscemi and Hannah Ropp along with senior Rachel Brauer placed 3rd in the state in the 4 X 800 relay event. All were former PVYA track athletes.

Luke Campbell won the National Division III 60 meter high hurdles event this past winter in indoor track while attending Sailsbury State University, he is a sophomore. Grant Smith placed 4th in the National Division II shot put event in indoor track this past winter. Grant attends Shippensburg University and is a junior. Both were high school state champions while attending Brunswick High and are former PVYA athletes.
