Futsal is a small-sided soccer game (5v5 - 4 field players and a goalkeeper) played on a smaller field (roughly the size of a basketball court) with a smaller, low-bounce ball. Futsal is played with touchline boundaries. Unlike Indoor Soccer, there are no walls in play.  In Futsal, players are constantly reminded to play the same quality control game that is required for success in the outdoor game. Futsal develops skill, control and technique. A small field with lines puts players constantly under pressure from other players and out-of-play boundaries. Players must learn to settle the ball rapidly, cut sharply, shield effectively, pass quickly and move into space.

PVYA will host a league for kids who are interested in learning the fundamentals of futsal and gain experience playing games with their school friends.

PVYA will field at least one competitive team in each available age classification (U8, 10U/11U, 12U/13U, 14U/15U, and high school) for both girls and boys. These teams will play against. teams from other area youth associations.

All games will be played at Brunswick Middle, high or elementary school . These teams will play 8 regular season games with a final end of season tournament.

Location/Date/Time: The session will begin Saturday, January 4th and end Sunday, March 9th, 2025. Games will be played between 12pm-6pm on Saturdays and Sundays. 

How much? The investment for U4-U6 academy is $55 for 8 Weeks . Our competitive league fee will be $85 for 8 weeks and final tournament. You must register online at www.pvya.com.

What to wear/bring? Players will be required to wear shin guards and socks. They wear regular gym shoes (as tight fitting as possible) and comfortable gym clothes. Competitive teams will wear PVYA uniforms. For more information, email us at [email protected]
